How much does an Ameri-Log Home cost?
  • Because of the many variables in building a home, it is not possible for us to provide pricing at the corporate level. Factors such as building codes, transportation laws and site preparation vary from state to state and site to site.
  • However, in general the homes will cost around $125 to $165 per square foot depending on the options you select and the model you choose. These prices are approximate and subject to change without notice. Every home is different and only your independent Ameri-Log Homes builder can give you a firm price on the home that you want to build.

What does "no assembly required" mean?
  • This is our way of saying that we build complete homes. Many companies sell logs and log packages and leave it up to the homebuyer to find the subcontractors to do the work. Ameri-Log Homes is a one stop-shop: We take care of everything from foundation to finish.

Is there anything I can finish myself?
  • This is a question that your independent Ameri-Log Homes builder can answer. It is up to them what portions of the home may be left unfinished for you to complete later.

Can the floor plans be modified?
  • Yes. You may make changes to the floor plans. Changes may result in additional fees so be sure to consult your builder on what the costs may be for modifications.

Why would we want to go with the half log system instead of full log?
  • Exterior Look- You can't tell the difference between a full log system and a half log system from the outside of your home.
  • Interior Look – You have the flexibility to have as much or as little log on the inside of your home. You can have half log, quarter log (most popular), wood planks, or drywall as your interior walls. Many clients choose to have an all wood great room but they want the other rooms to be drywall. A half-log system gives you that choice.
  • Insulation – On our half-log homes we use R-19 wall insulation as standard, and R-25 is available as an upgrade (or standard if building codes require it).
  • Costs – A half-log system helps keep costs down because it is easier to run plumbing, electrical, and whole house wiring for computers, video and other hi-tech entertainment applications.
  • Maintenance – In a half-log system, the structural system beneath the log veneer carries the stress loads of the home, not the log siding . The logs don't “settle” the way a full-log home will, so you won't have the maintenance problems that the settling process causes.

How long does it take to build?
  • Construction times vary with the type of home you choose, the site work required, the options you want, and other factors, but in general, it takes about six months to complete your home.
